Alicorn is bringing it up because OTHER PEOPLE can't "lighten up" over things. There are posters on both sides bugging the mods over claims of favoritism.

Quite frankly, the people that need to "lighten up" are the people who won't let up over their complaints of favoritism...

i was on a message board with a "reputation" system... it seemed to work out good, but you got the occasional person who gave you a bad rating merely because he or she happened to disagree with you... but i suppose that's no different than recommendations or any other kind of user rating system.
