I ain't got it in me to give it a try. But one of you might be curious enough.

I certainly don't need that.

Microsoft does not recommend installing this software on primary or mission critical systems. hehe are they talking about Vista or just the service pack

I will probably do another clean install after I see if I can break it, so why the hell not.

If I ultimately decide not to run Vista, I will need to install XP anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Yeah after reading that..I have second thoughts on installing the service pack. If my O/S or machine is down, I cannot work!

I have Vista and I've had a couple of compatibility problems. My daughters brand new Philip's 8 gig MP3 players software wouldn't load, because it runs on XP and even though Vista is the latest microsoft version, it doesnt automatically run. So I have to be careful what other things would be the same. The digital camera from Kodak had the same issues. I would definitely stick with XP.

Vista won't allow me to upload the patches that would fix her MP3 hang ups. Only XP. I don't want to get rid of Vista and spend 200 more to install XP, so I guess I'm screwed.

There might be a driver update for Vista for your software.
