You guys might enjoy reading books/writings by Zecharia Sitchin.

He is all about the ancient astronaut theory. Pretty far out stuff.

Strangely, my uber-Catholic mom was the person who introduced me to him.

Google him. I think you will find him interesting, whether or not you believe anything he has to say.

I have read just about everything by Sitchin. Some things are great, but others I'm not so sure about. Lizard people hiding out under human disguise is intriguing, but a little much. But the man knows what he is talking about when it comes to Sumeria.

I think we a literally the products of stardust from a vast universe. That's really my belief. It's intertwinned with a belief in a much greater power and a bit of Buddism thrown in.

I don't think that's a stretch at all. I see evidence of lizards in human disguise almost every day.

I hear you, PN. Maybe whatever created us, or what created them, or the ones before them, etc.... is what ultimately created everything. What some consider God. I certainly don't know. But I definitely could imagine there being life in the universe besides ourselves, and the possibility that it is or was much more intelligent or advanced technologically the we are. And that our entire history is but fragmented and fractured pieces of one true story.

And my belief system, at least the one that I feel works the best for me, is really more like Buddhism than any other system, as well. Cheers!

I know what you mean about the lizards as well. I tend to see one shifting beneath Dick Cheney's pasty pus.

I think the fact that we are now manipulating and mixing our own species at the genetic level, exemplifies just how fragile our existence is. IMHO I think it shows that "GOD's" role in all this is far beyond just "us" and anything we can conceive.

I honestly don't know what to think about all of that, fx. It makes me think that it is close to the time of some kind of major event here. I don't know about 2012, but it sounds about right that something is going to happen here. Call it what you will, I don't think that we are spiritually aware enough to be doing that kind of science, without some serious repercussions. Kind of like the story of Atlantis.

It's really too early to think too deeply about anything right now. I have Dora playing an my son bouncing of the walls. I'm just getting a few posts in before I start my day. But that 2012 deal does seem to be a good point of reference. I hope not, because I would love to see my son get older. But with my own mortality being in question with my kidney failure and all, as long as I am with my family when "it" happens, I'll be at peace.

Sorry, I understand. I do my best deep thinking early as my battery winds down much more quickly now that I'm weeks away from 40.
