I have no problem with smarting off, back and forth, with people of differing political idealogies. And I certainly have no problem with teachers - beit liberal or conservative - who provoke their students and get them thinking and arguing. The debate and be extremely productive.
I do, however, have a problem with teachers who punish or flunk students with different political/religious idealogies. The only places where that might be acceptable would be in a parochial school, religious college, or seminary. |
