These are people who hold to the view that everything happening in Israel is divinely directed by God Himself. Two scenarios. See if you can see who has what amount of money at the end.

Scenario A) Kid goes to private school with no vouchers.
Parent pays private school $X in tuition.
School receives $X in tuition from parent.

Scenario B) Kid goes to private school WITH vouchers.
Voucher is for $Z.
Parent pays private school $X - $Z in tuition.
School receives $X - $Z in tuition from parent, and $Z from government. (Total of $X for those who need a push.)

Parent has $Z dollars MORE in the pocket in scenario B) over scenario A).
School gets $X dollars REGARDLESS of the presence of vouchers.

Now explain to me again how it isn't the PARENTS who benefit from this???

Parents get to choose which school they send their kids to - private, parochial or public - whichever school is best.

Parents pay the same amount, regardless of where their kids go to school, because of the voucher system.

The best schools attract the most students, and receive the most voucher money. The sucky schools either clean up their act or go broke.

It's very simple. It's very effective. EVERYBODY WINS except the sucky schools that won't clean up their act. And those are precisely the schools that SHOULD be closed.

The parents CAN CHOOSE to send their kids to a private school if they want.
It's just that if they want to CHOOSE to send their kids to something extra, like a private school, then they PAY extra.

And moreover, if parents get to pick and choose where to send their tax money for the schools to where they want because that's where their kid is going...
... then I should be able to choose my wallet to send my school tax money to.
