Haha, does anyone else see the irony in this statement? Seriously though, no offense alias, just poking fun.

But seriously, has it occured to anyone that it just might be the fault of the students, and their culture (if there is such a thing, perhaps "living style" would be a better term)???

I find that professors are just fine. Its just that I don't buy into this conformist MTV society. From what I see is that college is not longer more of a culture of a student's will or want to learn, but simply because they are told that they have to go to college if they want to succeed. From what I see, its the fault of the students and their culture.

There is a difference inbetween college professors, and kids who might never have even taken a college history class.

Did you even read the article? It explicitly talked about how schools that have higher requirements for history classes had kids who were "more likely to vote, participate in community service and get involved in politics."

If you thought you were giving this article to disprove something Dylan was talking about, I think you ended up proving it instead...

How can you blame the students? You guys are younger than me. Are public schools teaching civics any more? We had civics and had to learn all about how government worked.

If you ever spend a day on a school campus, whether high school or college, I think its highly obvious its the fault of the students.

Yes, well at least in Ohio. Although its called American Government and Politics, its still the same class (teaching government and instilling a sense of efficacy), and its required for graduation for all seniors in high school.

My school had mandatory american government and international relations class (one semester classes each). American history was mandatory.
World history was not.

How is it the fault of the students?
