The ancient Greeks used to say, "You shall know a man by the friends that he keeps." Given the nature of their friends and advisers, what are we to conclude about the Republican party:

The Union Government of India tampered with history when it announced in 2004 that Tamil was a classical language but only with a literary tradition of just 1000 years. In fact Tamil is a classical language having a literary tradition of 2500-3000 years.

Scholars all over the world have simply closed their eyes, ears and pens!

History of everything has to be looked at afresh.

Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour

I agree in most cases, but does this make what we have been taught accurate?

Not if you only listen to or read one side of the issue.

Case in point: The Crusades.

Since Napolean wrote that "History is a fable agreed upon", almost everyone is aware that history is being rewritten. Only a joker would find that funny, or a sadist who gets pleasure out of the gory remains about human suffering in the past.

Is history that is rewritten worthless? Does what is genuinely historically determined need to be ignored, because of the way it is rewritten? Perhaps not, since rephrasing of facts for ulterior motives doesn't necessarily hide the facts. Much can be garnered from "reading between the lines" about history and individual accounts by individuals who rewrite it. Blatant lies that are inventions require to be repeated again and again, and usually the bigger the lies the more easily will they be accepted. Nonetheles, how many times are so-called historians given to repeat themselves. They are privy that if they do that, the readers will quickly perceive that was is being wriiten is PROPAGANDA and that is worthless as genuine history.
