I guess we are, we enjoy these stories and even make movies about them.

Well the fact is that all of the things mentioned have already been addressed and laws have been amended. In fact i would say that contant focus on PREVIOUS wrongs prevents people from righting TODAY'S wrongs.

Now i know that racism and anti-semitism still abounds, but you cannot ask a society to apologize for the opinions of a few people TODAY. The fact is that from an institutional perspective, these things have been fixed.

It is equally unfair to hold the son responsible for the sins of his father.

So, nowadays we have to apologize for things someone long dead, did to someone else, also long dead, right?

So, then, OF COURSE the Jews should apologize for killing Christ, the Christians should apologize for killing a LOT of people over the last 20 centuries. The Muslims should join the Christians in apologizing for the Crusades. Hollywood should just apologize. All of you non-Native Americans can apologize to me for being here, without my express permission, and I should apologize to you for my ancestors allowing your ancestors here in the first place! Does that about sum it up? Or did I forget an apology somewhere? If so, I'm sure the state of Virginia will apologize on my behalf!
